Questions procurement teams actually ask.
Not a generic FAQ — the specific questions a buyer needs answered before recommending HNPL internally. If yours isn't here, ask directly.
Sourcing, Quality & Verification
How is HNPL's honey tested for purity and adulteration?
Every lot is tested in-house using HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and AAS instrumentation, then independently confirmed by German testing laboratories before it ships — a standard step for every export lot, not a spot-check on a sample batch.
Can I get a lab report for the specific batch I'm buying?
Yes. Requesting a lot-specific lab report is standard practice, not a special request — ask as part of the quote process.
What certifications does HNPL hold?
Twelve active certifications, including ISO 22000:2018, cGMP, BRC, FSSAI, APEDA, Halal, Kosher, Organic, EIC, US FDA, Saudi FDA, and True Source Certified. Full certificates are available for review on request.
Where does HNPL's honey actually come from?
HNPL owns and directly manages more than 5,000 bee colonies, supplemented by a trained partner-beekeeper network — not third-party stock sourced blind on the open market. Production is based in Beerakheri, Saharanpur, India.
Ordering & Private Label
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
One container, and it's negotiable depending on product and format — HNPL would rather start at a workable volume than lose a good partner over an arbitrary minimum.
Can HNPL manufacture honey and bee products under my own brand?
Yes. Private label and OEM programs run from a single container upward, with a standard 30-day lead time and custom bottling available from your second order onward.
Are product samples available before I place an order?
Yes — samples are provided at no cost. Shipping is typically covered by HNPL as well; for larger sample volumes or specific constraints, that's confirmed case by case as part of your inquiry.
What packaging formats and sizes does HNPL offer?
Glass, PET, and squeeze formats, in 125g, 250g, 400g, 500g, and 1kg sizes as standard. Custom bottle designs can be accommodated — the first order takes slightly longer to tool up, every order after ships faster.
Does HNPL supply anything besides honey and bee-derived ingredients?
Yes, on request — the same facility also manufactures soaps, shampoos, hair oils, vinegars, and traditional preparations like murabba and gulkand, under the same certifications as the core product line.
Shipping, Payment & Documentation
Which countries does HNPL currently export to?
The United States, Europe, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Kazakhstan — including markets with some of the food industry's most demanding import regimes. If your market isn't listed, HNPL is actively expanding its export footprint.
What shipping terms (Incoterms) does HNPL offer?
HNPL typically quotes under FOB (Free on Board) and CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) — the specific term is confirmed as part of your quote.
What payment terms does HNPL accept?
Terms are negotiable per order. HNPL's standard structure is an advance payment, with the majority of the balance settled by the time the Bill of Lading is released — confirmed with the export team for your specific order.
Does HNPL handle export documentation like certificate of origin?
Yes — certificate of origin and other required export certificates are provided as standard practice with every shipment, not something you need to request separately.
What export volume can HNPL support?
4,000+ tonnes exported annually, built on owned production rather than spot-market purchasing — so volume commitments don't come at the cost of lot-level traceability.
